Tamar Ridge Kayena Vineyard Merlot 2009

 

Spicy plum and dark cherry fruit aromas along with attractive dark chocolate with hints of slight earthiness. This is a medium weight style with mouth-filling plum fruits dominating the front of the palate. The mid-palate has soft fine tannins and gentle vanillin oak complexity which has good flavour persistence with a dry finish.

we brought a bottle of this home from tasmania to try. We had friends up from the shacks and we all loved it. It is definately one of the nicest
melots I have ever had. Wish I had bought more but we already had too much baggage and had to pay excess. Anyhow this way I can buy it forever! And
I will be.
