Coombend Mail Run Red 2006

The nose is strongly dominated by fruit with only a subtle layer of oak complexity. Summer was dry and sunny resulting in this being one of our earliest vintages. These warm conditions show through with big ripe fruit flavours of cassis, blackberry and spicy plums with subtle complexity of nutty, toasty oak. There are firm tannins with good length and persistence of flavour and a pleasantly soft and balanced finish.
