We always tend to focus on our wines from the Lower Tamar ('Kayena Vineyard' and Devil's Corner) and the Upper Tamar (Pirie 'Estate' and SOUTH) and some superb wines from the sunny mid-Tamar are overlooked.

Our Rosevears Vineyard is located on the predominantly north-facing slopes of the mid-Tamar where they receive maximum available sunshine hours and protection from the prevailing westerly winds. Combine this with the shallow, rocky, well-drained soils of the site and it creates a terroir that delivers distinctive and high quality wines.

Sauvignon Blanc 2008 -
Showing an array of leafy aromatics and cool-climate fruits like kiwifruit and gooseberry backed-up by hints of lemon. The leafy aromatics show through on the palate with some distinctive varietal herbaceous flavours on the front and middle palate. It is light fresh and clean with an appealing minerality and a finish that is refreshingly crisp.
Riesling 2008 -
Showing some up-front citrus fruit flavours on a palate that is tight and lean with slately mineral elements.
The flavours are light and fresh and the finish shows good length and persistence of flavour while remaining crisp and refreshing.
Gewurztraminer 2007 -
Quite spicy with hints of musk and just a trace of rose petal perfume. Fresh, light and appealing.This wine shows good mouth feel with excellent weight and viscosity on the palate. The flavours are fairly spicy with good up-front fruit flavours.
Chardonnay 2007 -
The palate is full and round with lots of ripe fruit flavours including peach, melon and passionfruit and just a little bit of spicy oak adding interest. Plenty of fruit weight and mid-palate intensity. The finish is crisp and refreshing with enough acidity to balance the weight of fruit.
Pinot Noir 2006 -
Full, soft, mouth filling flavours of cherries with lighter strawberry and raspberry highlights. There are some fine-grained tannins giving definition and structure to the palate.
Merlot 2006 -
A fleshy and firmly structured style with abundant, ripe up-front fruit flavours. There are some firm tannins on the finish and sufficient acidity to balance the fruit ripeness. There is good fruit weight throughout the palate with excellent flavour persistence.

Rose 2008 -
Vibrant, ripe strawberry fruit with underlying spicy, confectionery aromas. Fresh, clean and appealing. Ripe strawberry fruit flows seamlessly through to the mid-palate providing excellent flavour and intensity. The finish is crisp and fresh with the crunchy acidity.
Pinot Grigio 2008 -
Appealingly aromatic with scents of green herbs and spicy pear.
Typically Pinot Grigio with an initial tang of bracing lemony acidity leading to a mid-palate showing excellent fruit weight. The finish is crisp and crunchy with clean, refreshing acidity that leaves the mouth watering for more.
Pinot Noir 2007 -
Ripe, perfumed black cherry aromas with a strong dash of spicy plum.
The palate is dominated by beguiling ripe cherry flavours with a touch of spiciness that combine to fill the front and mid-palate. Fine, soft tannins and balancing acidity make this a soft, easy drinking style with loads of flavour.
